Podcast Transcription

Podcast transcription is where we started, in 2005, and it is still the work we know best.

An episode transcript does several jobs at once. It is the show notes you were going to write anyway. It is the reason someone searching a guest’s name finds your episode instead of somebody else’s. It is how a listener who cannot use audio, or who is on a train with no headphones, gets the episode at all. And it is raw material: pull quotes for social, a blog post from the good ten minutes, a searchable archive of everything you have ever recorded.

Podcast audio is usually good, which helps, but the names are the hard part. Guests, companies, books, products, in-jokes from episode forty. Every transcript is edited and checked by real people, including a pass where an editor listens to the recording while reading the words. We research the names we do not recognize, and what we establish is applied to your later episodes, so a long-running show gets more accurate over time rather than less.

Send episodes by upload or point us at your feed and new ones get transcribed as they publish. Choose the level of attention that fits: three services at different prices and turnarounds. The same care goes into academic research, business meetings, and focus groups.
