Transcribe your focus groups for handy, searchable results
Transcriptions are essential when conducting focus group research, allowing you to refer back to the discussion, search for key words and phrases, and analyze the session in greater depth than is possible during the event itself.
Focus groups generally include too many speakers to track individually, so your facilitator will be labeled by name, while group participants will be labeled simply by gender.
We recommend including the Timestamps upgrade on your focus group transcriptions, so you jump directly to points of interest in the recording.
For best results when recording focus groups, be sure to minimize background noise and crosstalk, and make sure all participants are adequately mic'd. The Difficult Audio upgrade is often helpful on focus group recordings.
