Expert Human-Only is our Expert service with one difference: no machine transcript is involved at any point. A transcriber types your recording from scratch, and everything that follows is the same work that goes into our Expert transcripts.

Choose it when the requirement is about how the work is done, not only how good the result is. That usually means one of these:

• A research protocol or ethics approval that restricts putting recordings through automated systems.
• A confidentiality agreement or client policy that limits how audio may be processed.
• Material sensitive enough that you would rather it was only ever heard by a person.

Everything else matches our Expert product. Our most selective transcribers and editors, our fullest research on names, terminology, speakers, and context, and the same pass where an editor listens to the entire recording while reading the words. One thing to know if your requirement is a strict one: the free add-ons for Timestamps and Subtitles & Captions line the finished text up against your audio using speech software. The transcript is still produced entirely by people, but if that step is a problem for your protocol, tell us and we will work out the right approach with you.

It costs the same as Expert, so the decision is solely about the constraint you are working under. If you do not have one, Expert is the better default: it begins from the strongest starting transcript available for your recording, which our editors then take further.
