About Us

CastingWords is a technology oriented transcription and web-sourcing firm located in Northern New Mexico (and Seattle). CastingWords was founded in November 2005 by Rachel Richard and Nathan McFarland with the aim of connecting online workers with work. Our main products are transcription services, primarily aimed at technologically savvy podcasters including expedited services. We also offer consulting aimed at helping companies get work done on the web.

The New York Times and The Economist (subscription required) have both mentioned our company in articles. Our software uses Amazon's Mechanical Turk workplace and web services. We are available for consulting on implementing similar software.
